Our service
Luxury in-home dog house sitting.
Daisy & Dogs specialises in luxury in-home dog House Sitting across the Cotswolds and South Warwickshire. Your dog remains at home in familiar surroundings while a trusted sitter moves in for the length of your stay.
Why remaining at home can suit many dogs
Kennels and unfamiliar boarding environments do not suit every dog, particularly those who are anxious, closely bonded to their families, older or simply happiest in their own surroundings. In-home care means smells, sightlines, routine and company stay much as they already are.
Overnight arrangements
A sitter stays overnight during every Daisy & Dogs booking. Your dog will not knowingly be left alone in the property overnight. If an assigned sitter experiences a genuine emergency, we will arrange alternative cover wherever reasonably possible.
Daytime arrangements and the four-hour rule
House sitting does not mean the sitter remains inside the property constantly. Sitters may leave for walks, errands, work and ordinary commitments. Dogs will normally not be left alone for more than four hours at a time. Individual arrangements can be discussed where a dog has different established needs, but we do not provide constant-attendance care.
Walks and daily exercise
Walks are tailored to your dog's usual routine. They are shaped around their age, health and the weather, and may be altered, shortened or cancelled where necessary due to extreme heat, severe weather, illness, injury, behavioural or safety concerns, or veterinary advice.
Communication and updates
You will receive regular photographs, videos and updates throughout your stay. We agree the rhythm with you in advance — some owners like a daily note, others prefer to hear only when it matters.
Household care
Sitters provide respectful care of your home: watering plants, managing bins, collecting post and basic household and security checks where requested. House sitting does not include professional domestic cleaning.
Indoor cameras and recording devices must be disclosed and switched off for the duration of the sit. Disclosed outdoor security cameras are acceptable. Dogs cannot sleep on the sitter's bed.
Cotswold walks and familiar corners
Walks follow the routes and rhythms your dog already knows. We are based in the Cotswolds and know the tracks, footpaths, villages and quiet spots that make the area a lovely place to be a dog.
Other animals
Other household animals can usually be cared for alongside a dog house-sitting booking. Additional charges may apply depending on the species, number of animals and complexity of care. We do not offer standalone cat sitting, fish visits or other pet visits.
Suitability and behaviour
Please tell us about any medical conditions or medication requirements during the enquiry so we can advise whether the service is suitable.
Dogs with anxiety, reactivity or individual behavioural needs may be considered case by case. Safety and suitability are essential for the dog, the sitter and the household.
Minimum stays
From May to September the usual minimum booking is five nights. Outside those months the usual minimum is three nights. Shorter bookings may occasionally be accepted closer to the date where suitable availability remains. There is no fixed maximum booking length, subject to sitter availability and suitability.
Tailored quotes
Every stay is individually quoted based on your dates, timings, location, number of dogs and care requirements. Quotes may vary for peak periods from May to September, Christmas, puppies, multiple dogs, additional animals, higher levels of care and extended departure-day care.
Meet and greet
Every initial meet and greet is complimentary and normally lasts up to one hour. The dog must meet the sitter who is expected to complete the booking before the booking begins. Dates are only secured after Daisy & Dogs accepts the booking and receives the required deposit.
